Happy 2010 Ladies and Germs! Just wanted to check in and let you know what’s cookin’ in the Funhouse kitchen. The Bossman is currently knee deep in graphics for our Series 5 decks, set to arrive in early Spring. We’re adding 3 NEW decks to the lineup, including a new mini to replace the Mini-Puncher, a new longboard to replace the Dripper and a new, super wide pool/park deck to replace the outgoing Ticket Puncher.
Without revealing too much, here’s our current Concrete Wave ad featuring hints of what’s to come. I can assure you the graphics are as sick as ever and you won’t be disappointed! Keep your eyes peeled for upcoming posts introducing the kooks and spooks of Series 5, and, as always, SKATE TOUGH AND HAVE FUN!
Word booty friends and fiends! Just wanted to take a minute to pimp my latest artwork, “The Squeaky Activated Anti-Nightmare Unit”. This customized “Bear Bear Qee” vinyl toy was created for a group show at the Genuine Artikle Gallery in Lake Ronkonkoma NY. The Qee2Life art show features some of the best toy customizers in the country and I am happy to be taking part. The idea behind my piece is that, when you have a nightmare, you squeeze the skull on the tail of the Unit, which sets off a squeaker that alerts the anti-nightmare happiness blob that lives inside. Once he’s alerted, he pours out on a rainbow slide and kicks your nightmare’s butt! How can you go wrong with that?

Don’t know about where you are, but the weather in Brooklyn sucks! The weather folks are calling for rain through Saturday, so after conferring with the other Old Man Locals, we’ve decided to call it a day and hope for better conditions on Nov. 21. The NEW raindate will be the following day, Sunday the 22nd. If we can’t pull it off then, we’re fucked and will just have to give it a go in the Spring. As always, keep your eyes on the blog for updates and more pics of Lou Rawls.
