Throw in your dentures, throw on your woolies and represent for hardcore NYC skateboarding. See your frozen ass there.

Take a look at this cover and you’ll know why I haven’t posted too much lately! This beauty took FOREVER but is well worth the effort. You can welcome 2009 in style by subscribing to Concrete Wave Magazine (1-866-678-WAVE) and getting your complimentary copy. Where else will you find a Medusa-headed skate mermaid, a hermit crab cement truck and an angry octopus wielding cement tools?
Big thanks to Michael Brooke for allowing me the latitude (and deadline extensions) to make it happen!

Well kids, here’s the spread that started it all! Way back in the early days of the Bossman’s lurch from obscurity, a fine fellow by the name of Michael Brooke gave me my first shot at the big time with this kick ass two-page artist’s profile in Concrete Wave Magazine and subsequent 2008 CW calendar cover. Fresh off a face to face meet-up at the Downhillbillies Dixie Cup in 2006, Michael was cool enough to give an unknown nut-job like myself a chance. It marked the turning point in my skate-art career and gave rise to both Funhouse and my delusions of grandeur. I’d also like to thank CW art director and all around art wizard Mark “Markintosh” Tzerelshtein for his professionalism and courtesy. The guy is a class act!

Thanks to Concrete Wave Magazine and check back soon for this year’s 2009 cover!
